Privacy Policy

At groundspeed we keep things simple and transparent. We don't sell data, we don't profile you, and we only collect what's needed for the site to work.

Cookies & analytics

If you accept cookies, we store an anonymous identifier (gs_vid) for one year so we can correctly count unique and returning visitors. It doesn't contain your name or email, doesn't track you across other sites and isn't shared with anyone. If you decline, our analytics become fully cookieless (an anonymous daily hash that can't link visits across days).

We also use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless. We only ever see aggregate numbers (views, country, device, source, duration). You can change your consent by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.

Story reactions

When you tap 👍, ❤️ or 🤷 on a story, we store a random identifier (gs_rid) for one year so your vote counts once and is remembered if you come back. It is created only at the moment you vote, is not derived from anything about you, doesn't follow you across other sites, and is used solely for counting. The 🤷 tally is never shown publicly - only we see it, as feedback.

Story submission form

If you send us a story, we store your name, email, text and photos so we can read it and reply. We use them only for that purpose.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we keep only your email to send you the new stories. You can unsubscribe any time - there's a link in every email.

Events

If you register interest in one of our events (e.g. Cars & Coffee), we keep your email only to tell you about that event. It does not sign you up to the newsletter, and we delete it whenever you ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Email us at admin@groundspeed.gr and we'll do it.
